LITTLE THEATRE SOCIETY

TO-NIGHT’S PRESENTATION There is evidence that the initial performance to be given to-night by the nawly-formed Little Theatre Society in the Town Hall Concert Chamber should be an outstanding success. Apart from the fact that the proceeds will be devoted to the Mayor’s Relief Fund, the public is looking forward to excellent entertainment. The three winning teams in the recent British Drama Festival will bo appearing, and will present three entirely different types of plays, so that playgoers should lie well catered for, in so much that , the plays embrace all the various gamuts of the emotions. The society has decided to charge only onp,price, and there' will be no reservations. ■ Ag the cost of admission is within the reach of all, it is anticipated that a capacity house will greet the society’s first performance. Mr Stan. Lawson’s School of Dancing will supply a ballet, as an additional attraction. To-night will be the last appearance of Miss Jessie MTiennan on the Dunedin stage—as this actress will , leave shortly for Australia —and her performance in the part she plays in the dramatic piece, “ He,” is one to be remembered. The Management Committee recommends the public to come as early as possible, aa the doors will be closed during the presentations of the plays.
