WRESTLING

TO-NIGHT’S ATTRACTION

The wrestling contest to be staged at the Town Hall to-night should prove to be an outstanding bout, when the Rritish Empire champion, Earl M'Cready, will meet the redoubtable Glenn Wade, who in his previous appearances here has created a very favourable impression with local enthusiasts because of | his skill, strength and his clean wresti ling. Both men are extremely fit. and each recoghises that this contest means so very much to the winner, net only in this Dominion, but even so far abroad as Canada and the United Slates of America. Neither man has as yet suffered defeat in New Zealand, and can, therefore, be relied upon to use all the skill and strength at his command in older to maintain his winning record. Some idea of the interest this meeting has aroused, not only in Dunedin, but in northern cities can be gathered .from the fact that a number of reservations have been made by enthusiasts from as far afield as Christchurch, Timaru and Oamaru. It may be of interest to patrons to know that both wrestlers have advised the association that they desire a decision, so that if equal falls or no falls are secured the decision must be given on points. It is obvious, therefore, that under these conditions, to-night’s contest should be one of the most strenuous contests ever staged in the Dominion. As some of the cleverest of the local amateurs will be engaged in the preliminary bouts, these also should prove very interesting, and patrons should look forward to an excellent evening ot wrestling.
