The annual meeting of the Mosgiel District High School Ex-pupils’ Club was held on Thursday last, Dr W. J. Boraman presiding over a large attendance. The following' office-bearers were elected for the ensuing year:—President, Dr W. J. Boraman; vice-president, Mr H. L. M’Kinnon; secretary, Mr A. Johnston; treasurer, Mr W. M’lntoeh; chairman, Mr F. Carr; commitees —Misses A. and M. Morgan, P. Dyer, N, Brown, Messrs E, M‘Cunn, S. Dyer, J. Leith, I. Thomson, M. Livingstone, R. Frew. _ Arrangements regarding the year’s activities were discussed and left in the hands of the committee to complete. The monthly meeting of the St. Clair School Committee was attended by Messrs Love (in the chair), Anderson, Bond, Gnndley, Perry, Robson, and Warwick. The headmaster reported that there had been a gratifying absence of serious sickness during the cold weather. Arrangements were made to farewell the beadmaster, Mr Coutts, on big retirement in August. The Visiting Committee reported that the temperature in the classrooms was very satisfactory. The St. Kilda Borough Council advised that water supplied to the school would in future be charged at Is per 1000 gallons. Accounts amounting to £52 14s 4d wer« passed for payment.
