H. L. BROOK CRASHES REPORTED TO BE INJURED (United Press Association) (By Electric Telegraph—Copyright) CAIRO, July 19. Brook crashed at Mersamatruh, and is reported to be injured. H. L. Brook took off from Lympne on July 17 on a flight to the Cape. RECENT DUTCH CRASHES LONDON, July 18. The Daily Telegraph’s Amsterdam correspondent says that as the result of the crash on July 14 the Fokker Twenty-twos have /been withdrawn temporarily from the K.L.M. service to have a new fool-proof petrol-fed system installed. Questions were asked in the Dutch Parliament whether K.L.M., by working its pilots too hard, contributed to the recent crashes. SERVICE TO BE CLOSED AMSTERDAM, July 19. (Received July 20, at 1 a.m.) Brook was not injured, but his machine was completely wrecked. Lack of petrol compelled him to land at Mersamat nun. He failed to locale the aerodrome in the darkness and landed a quarter of a mile away.
