THE SOUTHERN CROSS
PURCHASED BY GOVERNMENT TO BE HOUSED IN MUSEUM PERTH, July 1. The Minister of Defence {Mr R. A. Parkhill) announced that the Federal Government had decided to purchase the Southern Cross. Sir Charles Kingsford Smith will be paid £3OOO for the plane, which will be housed in the Australian Museum at Canberra.
