Owing to failure of the brakes seven people were killed and 120 injured when a motor coach and a trailer, both crammed with schoolboys on a holiday, crashed over a cliff at Casale Monfer rato. Fourteen persons were incinerated and eight injured when they were trapped in a motor coach, the driver of which swerved to avoid a cow near Khenisset. The coach overturned and caught fire. The shrieking passengers vainly strove to smash the windows. The injured driver crawled along the roadside, found a stone, and broke the glass.
