«*. COMING MOZART CONCERT In the latest list of recordings Mozart once again holds pride of place. His present-day popularity is undoubtedly due to the soothing effect of the bright, cloudless sunlight of his music. Ihe society and the associated players and singers have enjoyed many successes in the past, but there is good reason for the confident belief that the forthcoming allMozart " concert 6hould eclipse all previous efforts. ~.,,. , r T Prominent soloists including Mrs beonarcl Cronin, Mr J. D. M'Kechme Miss Betty Pocock, Mrs C. M. BarneU, Mr Douglas Rutherford, and Mr W.. A. Finnic, will take part. Two well-known pianists, Miss Winifred Gardner and Mrs B. R. Nees, are also on the programme, and should enhance the success of the concert. Mr Alfred Walmsley will conduct the concert and Mr J. A. Wallace will lead the string orchestra.
