WOMEN'S DIVISION N.Z. FARMERS' UNION
Reports of meetings of oruuehes are requested, but they should be furnished promptly, for the publication of reports that are not supplied wituiß « week from the date of the meeting cannot be assured. The Waihola branch of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union met on Wednesday. The roll call was " Riddle." The competition was "A darn," the first prize going to Mrs Dewar, with Mrs Ruthven second, and Mrs Brinedon third. Hostesses were Mesdames Henry and Sinclair. Greenfield branch met on June 20. The president was Mrs Maxwell. A lesson on " Rose Pruning" was given by Mrs Bishop. The competition for " Best woollen slippers" resulted in a tie for first place between Mrs Cross and Mrs Christie. Mrs Christie was first for best papier-mache article. Mrs Maxwell reported on her visit to the annual meeting and social in Dunedin. during Show Week.
