EAST TAMAKI TRAGEDY
FATHER SUCCUMBS TO WOUND (Per United Pkess Association) AUCKLAND, June 27. After lingering for four days with a bullet wound in his head, Peter Hobson, aged 40, of East Tamaki, died in : spital this morning. Hobson was shot last Sunday morning by his son, Peter, aged 18, who afterwards shot himself dead with the same pea rifle. The tragedy is believed to bo the outcome of domestic differences. The wife had been living apart from ler husband for about a yea.'. Recently she petitioned for divorce, but failed, and, according to her evidence at the preliminary inquest, the fact that her son was not allowed to give evidence had preyed on his mind.
