BURGLARY SUSPECTS
TWO MEN BEFORE COURT (Per United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, June 25. Before Mr E. C. Levvey to-day, Albert William Gauntlet, aged 27, of India, and Ralph Crosby, alias Trevor Foote, aged 26, an Australian, both described as of no fixed abode, were charged with breaking and entering the shop of Hays, Ltd., oh June 15 and committing theft. They were remanded till July 2. These are the men whose course from Christchurch to Picton in a night taxi was followed step by step by the police watchers en route, detectives arresting them next morning in a Picton hotel.
