Canadian exporters want the Japanese demand for the appraisal of the yen at par instead of as a depreciated currency to be granted. Canadian manufacturers oppose this on the ground that it would open the door to a flood of Japanese manufactured goods, mostly textiles, a large part of which is also supplied by England. , . FACING HEAVY LOSS EFFECT ON BRITISH COLUMBIA, VANCOUVER, May 11. (Received May 12, at 6.30 p.m.) British Columbia is facing the loss of 3,000,000 dollars of trade annually through Canada’s currency dispute with Japan. The Ottawa Government has been petitioned in an endeavour to secure a settlement that will ensure that Tokio will not shut out British Columbia goods,
