CHILLED BEEF
EXPORT TO BE DOUBLED (Peb United Press Association) WELLINGTON. April 12. In a statement regarding chilled beef, the Minister of Finance (Mr J. G. Coates) said the Government had arranged that export to the United Kingdom should be nearly doubled. They had secured an allocation of 30,()00cwt for arrival in the \piil-.lmie Quarter, and this was now increased to 50.000. This indicated that the British Government recognised the importance the chilled beef trade would be to New Zealand.
