FATHER CHARGED WITH MURDER A VERDICT OF INSANITY SYDNEY, April 11. (Received April 11, at 10.15 p.m.) The jury at the trial of John V. Dole, who was charged with the murder of his daughter, Annie, aged 15, at Finley, returned a verdict of not guilty on the ground of insanity. Mr Justice Maxwell ordered Dole to be detained during the Governor’s pleasure. A terrible crime was revealed at Finley, Southern New South Wales, on December 6. Three girls, aged 15, 10, and 4, all daughters of .1. V. Dole, a farm labourer, were found dead in their beds with their throats slashed. A razor, which was bloodstained, was discovered by the police. The police discovered the dead girls’ father in a wool shed 100 yards from the house with a wound on his wrist. QUEENSLAND ELECTIONS DATE OF POLLING FIXED BRISBANE, April 14. The State elections will be held on May 11, the same date as the New South Wales poll.
