EASTER ROWING
INTERPROVINCIAL EIGHTS SEVEN CREWS COMPETING Entries for the annual interprovincial eight-oar contest, to be rowed at Dunedin on Easter Saturday morning, closed with the secretary of the Otago Rowing Association on Wednesday night. The following provinces will be represented: — Auckland, Wanganui, Wellington, East Coast (North Island), Canterbury, Southland, and Otago. The entry is the same as last year. Marlborough has defaulted for the first time since the inception of the contest. The East Coast crew will be making its first appearance for interprovincial honours. Auckland will be represented by the Tauranga Rowing Club, Wellington by the Petone Rowing Club, Canterbury by the Akaroa Boating Club, and Southland by the Invercargill Railway Rowing Club, while . Wanganui, East Coast and Otago will be represented by crews selected from the respective clubs. Final arrangements in connection with the contest will be made by the Otago Association at a meeting to be held this evening. The draw for places will be announced to-morrow.
