SOCIAL CREDIT AND INFLATION
TO THE EDITOR Sir, —I am sorry to disagree with " Inquirer,* but bis two statements are both ambiguous and misleading, and whilst the meaning “ Inquirer ” intends them to have may be quite true meanings in relation to fact, they are much top‘loose in form to be admittable without further definition. Br “ the bank” I presume “Inquirer ” means either a central bank or any trading bank? Would he also say what is his definition of money in both statements,- and further; what the definition of circulation ,is in. the second statement? The. reason why new economics ■ has to insist upon care in the meaning of words is .that new. economics depends from the practical aspect on measurements, and obviously must have exact knowledge of what has to be measured. —I am, etc., ' C. H. Chapman. Dunedin, April 11.
