COLD SNAP IN BRITAIN
SNOW IN MANY PLACES (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, March 11. (Received March 12, at 5.5 p.m.) A strong and bitter east wind maintain abnormally cold weather over the week-end throughout the British Isles. Snow showers occurred in many places in Eastern England and in the Channel Islands, and the temperature remained near or below freezing point.
