It was in January, 1435, that Eugelbrekt, who led the peasants and country folk against the Dunes, called what is believed to have been the iirst Swedish Parliament at the little town of Arboga, after the Danes had been driven out. To celebrate the anniversary, the Swedish postal authorities are bringing out a new set of postage stamps. The patriot Engelbrckt is honoured on one of the stamps, his asms being reproduced along with designs of men to represent the Four Estates of the Swedish Parliament as it was until ISOG, when the present system of Upper Lower Chamber was adopted. The Four Instates—Nobility, Church, Burghers, and Peasant Owners or Yeomen—are represented in costumes as worn at the time 500 years ago. Four of the stamps sliow buildings in Stockholm which at different times have been, the deliberations of one or other of the Four Estates. The total agns of these four buildings make 1-150 years.
