THE CROQUET TESTS
AUSTRALIA WINS SERIES MELBOURNE, February 24. (Received Feb. 24, at 9.30 p.m.) Miller, the Australian captain, saved the day for Australia in the last stage of the final croquet test by defeating the English captain, du Pre, after the other Australians had been routed in the Singles. Australia .won the test series by an outright win in the first test, the second and third being drawn. The results of the other Singles are as follows:—Poulter defeated Morrison, Wemyss defeated HuDt, and Petley defeated Windsor.
