SPLITTING OF VOTES
DANGER TO CONSERVATIVES LONDON, February 21. (Received Feb. 22, at 5.5 p.m.) Mr Stanley Baldwin, speaking at Chelsea, emphasised continuance of the National Government because he did not believe that the Conservatives alone would win a clear majority in the United Kingdom owing to the possibility of split votes. He added that the stronger and more united was the Government the greater its weight and, influence abroad would be.
