LOS ANGELES TO NEW YORK TRANSPORT RECORD BROKEN NEW YORK, February 21. Flying a single-motored monoplane from Los Angeles to New York in 11 hours 21 minutes, Lcland S. Andrews clipped 38 minutes off the transcontinental transport record established by Major Doolittle on January 15. RECORD TIMOR SEA CROSSING KOEPANG, February 22. (Received Feb. 22, at 11.55 p.m.) A Quantas mail plane crossed the Timor Sea this morning in the record time of three hours from Darwin to Koepang.
