THE NEW WOOLPACK
COMPLAINT FROM BRITAIN (British Official Wireless.! RUGBY, February 21, The British Wool Federation has decided to complain to New Zealand against the new type of woolpack now being used. It is stated that the woolpack appears to be made of a rough substance like sisal. The fibre flies badly when cut and sheds fibres freely into the wool. ’■ VAST IMPROVEMENTS MADE (Per United Press Association) i WELLINGTON, February 22. The woolpack complaint was referred f Sir Alexander Roberts, chairman of directors of New Zealand Woolpack and Textiles, Ltd., who said that vast improvements had been n.u,de in the packs for the 1935-36 season. Samples submitted to the New Zealand Woolbuyers’ Association had been definitely approved by that body. Admittedly the packs were made of hard fibre, flax having a hard fibre, but be contended that when cut it would not fly any more than jute fibre.
