Walpiata arrived at Dunedin yesterday morning from Auckland, via ports, and was berthed at the Cross wharf to discharge and load general cargb. She Is to sail on Monday for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, and Auckland. Breeze, which arrived yesterday morning from Wellington, will sail to-day for Timaru and Lyttelton to complete loading for Wellington, Plcton, Wanganui, and New Plymouth. Orepukl Is due at Dunedin to-day from Bluff, and Is timed to sail on Monday for Wellington, Nelson, and New Plymouth, via pons.

Storm Is due here on Tuesday from Pigeon Bay, and Is scheduled to sail the same day for Timaru, Lyttelton, Wellington, Plcton, and Wanganui. Holmglen Is now due at Dunedin on February 27 from Wellington to load for Wanganui. New Plymouth, and Port Waikato. WAIKOUAITI SAILS. . Having discharged the Dunedin portion of her cargo from Australia, the Walkoualti sailed early yesterday morning for. Timaru and Lyttelton to complete discharge. She will afterwards go to Sydney and Newcastle to load again for Bluff, Dunedin. Timaru, and Lyttelton ARDENVOHR FROM NEW YORK. An arrival yesterday was the A. and A. Line's chartered motor ship Ardenvohr, from New York, via Panama, Auckland, Wellington, and Lyttelton. She was berthed at the Rattray street wharf to discharge American cargo. The vessel left New York on January 9, and reached Auckland on February 10. The Ardenvohr Is expected to sail to-day for Sydney to complete discharge. THE TANKER LACKLAN. The tanker Lacklan is due In these waters about May 5 with a cargo of bulk motor spirit from Palembang. She will probably discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, and Dunedin. ANTIOPE WITH BITUMEN. The Antlope, en route from Tampico with a cargo of bitumen for discharge at Auckland, Wellington, Lyttelton, Timaru, and Australian ports. Is due at-Auckland on February «• \ DEPARTURES FROM COLON. The Karamea, which left Napier on January. 26 for London, sailed from Colon on February 15. She Is due at Wellington on March 14. RANGITATA AT PLYMOUTH. Advice received by the New Zealand Shipping Company states that the Rangltata arrived at Plymouth on Thursday morning from Auckland, ■via Panama. The vessel left Auckland on January 18. INVERBANK FOB FIJI. The motor ship Inverbank, after taking In fuel oil at the Victoria wharf, sailed yesterday afternoon for Suva. She will load copra In the Fiji group for the United Kingdom. PASSENGERS BY MAUI POMARE. The Maul Pomare, which arrived at Lyttelton on Wednesday morning from Apia and Niue Island, brought 7050 cases of bananas from Apia and 2100 cases from Niue, also 15 tons of general cargo. Since she was last at Lyttelton, structural alterations have been made to the Maui Pomare by the building of a ’tween deck in the space formerly occupied by the well of the afterhatch. The alteration provides Insulated space for an additional 900 cases of bananas. . The vessel’s tonnage has consequently been Increased from 1159 tons to 1204 tons. PERSONAL-. Mr W. H. Craike has joined the Wahlne as purser, relieving Mr F. H. Johnson, who has rejoined the Walpiata. Mr L. R. Maynard, late assistant purser on the Aorangi, has been released from quarantine Jn Sydney and Is now standing by at the Union Company head office. Mr B. J. Barlow has also been freed from quarantine In Sydney, and has joined the Monowal as assistant purser. Mr T. C. Langford, late third officer of the Arahura, has been appointed second officer of the Orepukl, relieving Mr B. C. Roberts on account of 111-health. Mr J. Leeder Is now third officer of the Wahlne. relieving Mr G. H. Edwards. IMPERIAL STAR AT PORT CHALMERS. The Blue Star Line’s new motor ship Imperial Star, on her maiden voyage to New Zealand, arrived yesterday morning from Bluff, and was berthed at the George street wharf, Port Chalmers, to complete Homeward loading. The Imperial Star left the yards of her builders, Messrs Harland and Woolff, Belfast, In ballast for the Dominion,- via the Panama canal. On her trials she did 18.6 knots, add though she was driven easily on the voyage out. to New Zealand she averaged 16.2 knots, her engines functioning perfectly throughout the Journey, which was made In the smart time of 29 days 9 hours. Her first Dominion port was Auckland, the others being Wellington, Timaru, and Bluff. Captain D. B. Macfarlane, who commands the Imperial Star, Is an Aucklander and Is paying his first visit to the Dominion after a lapse of 25 years. His officers are: Chief, Mr SI C. Cramb; second, Mr G. T. Riley; third, Mr L. Vernon; fourth, Mr J. J. Dickson ; wireless operator, Mr H. Morgan; chief steward, Mr Ribbons; chief engineer, Mr W. Slessor; senior second, Mr J. S.
