THE WEATHER
Heavy rain fell in Dunedin yesterday. The fall was continuous all day. and .80 inches was registered up to 4 p.m. A light south-east wind was and - the maximum temperature V. - as 56 degrees. The barometer was steady at 30.00 m. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND, February 22. Rain fell almost continuously this morning and afternoon. The wind dropped toward evening and veered from north to west. The barometer remained steady during the day,, but commenced to fall in the February 22. There was rain in the early morning, but it ceased after about 10 o’clock, ,an 4 the weather, though remaining cloudy, improved somewhat. A moderate to fresh north-westerly blew and conditions remained warm and humid. The maximum temperature to-day was 71 degrees, and the temperature at 4 p.m. yesterday was 67.4 degrees. The rainfall from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to-day was 0.02 in. CHRISTCHURCH, February 22. The weather to-day was overcast, with some rain. A moderate south-west wind was blowing. The barometer is rising steadily and now registers SO.OOin.
