ARBITRATION ACT
AN AMENDMENT SOUGHT (From Our Parliamentary Reporter) WELLINGTON, February 22. The desirability of an amendment to the Industrial Conciliation and Arbitration Act was referred to by Mr F. Jones (Dunedin South) in a question asked in the House of Representatives to-day. Mr Jones said he was joining with Mr J. W. Munro (Dunedin North) in asking the Minister of Labour whether the Government would introduce legislation this session to amend the Act with the object of providing that all disputes in which the parties failed to agree in Conciliation Council should be automatically referred to the. Arbitration Court for settlement.
