£989,000 ESTATE DISPUTE
(From Odd Own Correspondent.) LONDON, October 9. Mr Arthur G. Soames, Sheffield Park, Uckfield, who died at the age of 80, sou of Arthur Soames, of Bourne, Lincolnshire, and uncle of Lady Baden-Powell, left £989,634 (n.p. £907,264), on which estate duty of £346,602 has been paid. Letters of administration have been granted to Sir Barry E. Domville, “ Robins Tree,” Kingston road, Putney Vale, the person appointed to administer the estate pending the action, Macleay and another v. Soames, in the High Court, concerning the validity of the will.
