MAGISTRATE’S COURT At a sitting of the Port Chalmers Court yesterday morning the magistrate (Mr J. E. Bartholomew) declined to make an order in a Judgment summons case in which Florence Metcalf claimed £( 19s from John Fletcher, of Port Chalmers. The refusal for the order was on the ground that defendant had not earned more than £lO since June this year. TERRITORIALS ENTERTAINED On Tuesday night the Port Chalmers returned soldiers entertained the local territorials in the Buffalo Hall. There was a large attendance of both units, and Mr T. F, Maekie presided. Songs and musical items were contributed, and various games were played.
