DAMAGED AEROPLANE
HEWETT AND KAY’S MACHINE * REPAIRS NOW COMPLETED, (Per-United Press Association) PALMERSTON N. t November 16. Repairs to the Tainui, the machine in which Squadron-leader Hewett nnd Flight-lieutenant Kay made their fligut to New Zealand, were completed this afternoon at 5.30, but owing to the possibility of another night landing at Auckland departure was postponed till to-morrow at 10 o’clock. The machine was given a ground test only to-day, and there will be an air test to-morrow at the time of leaving. The sterupost which was damaged ra Oloncurry and temporarily repaired then has been replaced, the dented cowling fixed, and the damaged propeller shortened at both ends.
