THE WEATHER
The weather yesterday was again overcast, unsettled, and cold, with light south-west breeze. The temperature at mid-day was 44 degrees. REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special to Daily Times) AUCKLAND’. October 19. After light showers in the early morning, fine weather was experienced to-day, but a moderate southerly wind made the conditions cold in the shade. The barometer was steady at 29.95 inches after mid-day. WELLINGTON, October 19. The weather to-day was cold, dull, and wet, light rain falling most of the day, with a light south-east wind. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 46.6 degrees, and the maximum during the day was 48.1 degrees. The rainfall between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. amounted to six points. CHRISTCHURCH, October 19. The weather was dull in the morning, with some rain. The sun shone in the afternoon, when the wind changed from south-west to north-east. The maximum temperature was 49 degrees. The barometer, after falling, has been steady at 59.90 inches.
