CONTROL OF BILLIARDS
THE RECENTLY-FORMED COUNCIL ITS CONSTITUTION CHALLENGED. CPeb United Press Association) CHRISTCHURCH, October 19. The constitution of the recentlyformed New- Zealand Billiards Control Council was vigorously challenged by delegates to the Canterbury Billiards Association. The council was formed of players attending the recent New Zealand championship at Dunedin, and the delegates at last night’s meeting expressed the view that, as the Canterbury Association was the only body in the Dominion affiliated to the British. Billiards Association, and had already applied for control of the game in New Zealand, the new body was not entitled to assume the position of governing authority without reference to the local executive.
