LADIES’ BOWLING
NORTH-EAST VALLEY CLUB. The North-East Valley Ladies’ Bowling Club had a very successful opening clay bn Tuesday, a large number of lady bowlers and friends being present. Mrs T. Grant welcomed those present and wished them an enjoyable afternoon. Mrs Kane, representing the Ladies' Bowling Association, returned thanks for the invitation to be present and referred to the generous assistance given by the club to the association. Mrs Coulter, sen., an esteemed member of the club, rolled up the first bowl, after which the president declared the season open. During the afternoon a rink tournament was played, for prizes given by the president, and these were won by Mesdames Hands, Vivian, Collie and Ansell.
