FORESTERS
The fortnightly meeting of Court Excelsior was held last Tuesday. The C.R., Bro. A. C. Oldham presided over a -full, attendance of officers and a large muster of members. The secretary, Bro. Patton, moved that a motion of sympathy on behalf of the court be extended to C.R. Bro. Oldham in the loss of his stepfather. The S.C.R. put the motion, which was carried by the brothers standing in silence. An invitation to four members was received from Court Pi'ido of . Leith to its seventieth anniversary. The invitation was accepted. An invitation was also received from Court Enterprise to its seventy-first anniversary. The invitation was accepted. One new member was initiated. The nomination of two new members was duly approved. Court Robin Hood wrote stating that the next district meeting would be held at Port Chalmers durin" Easter, 1933, and that Court Robin Hood had all the necessary arrangements in hand. The C.R. called for nominations of officers for the ensuing term, all the sitting officers being nominated for the higher office. Bro. T. Wren was the retiring trustee and as he did not wish to be re-elected, it was decided to send him a letter of appreciation for hi® past services. The monthly meeting of Court Excelsior’s Pride (juvenile Foresters) was held on September u The C.R. presided over a full muster of officers and nine young floor members. One new candidate was admitted into the Order. The president, P.C.R. Bro. J. G. S. M'Mirm. gave the boys a short talk on the work.
