THE SHARE MARKET DUNEDIN STOCK; EXCHANGE BUSINESS OF THE WEEK. The following is a list of the business recorded on- the Dunedin Stock Exchange during tlje past .weeks*-? - j. , ;f, B. d.

Tlu) past week’s transactions on the Dunedin Stock Exchange reached a jiormal volume, and there has been a tendency in many stocks to firm. Bank of New.Zealands were cold at £2 7s (id. £2 7s 7d, and £2 Bs, the market closing with a buyer at the lastmentioned figure and a seller at £2 8s 6d. Commercials were turned over at 17s fid, two sales taking place. They are Do" on the market at 17s 9d. Business was done in Standard Insurance, at £3 7s, representing a rise of Is on recent offers. They are now wanted at the same price. In the loan nad agency section Goldsbrough, Morts were turned over, at £1 10s Bd, and the shares can now be bought for 2d more. Baid-up New Zealand Kefrigeratings were sold at 19s sd, and the contributing issue had business at 9s OJd and 9s. The closing offer for the former eh ares was 19s 3d, and the other issue was wanted at 9s 3d, with a seller" at 9s sd.

Tim preferred Southland Frozens were turned over at £3 12s, and are still being asked for at Is. less. Ordinary Bruce Woollens were sold at 13s 3d, and there is now an unsupplied buyer forward at the same price. The market for Dominion Rubbers was •gain a little firmer, business being done at £1 10s. The final offer for these shares was £1 9 a 9d. A considerable rise was recorded jp the market for the Sydney issue of Woolworths. Three parcels changed hands early in the period at £3, two were sold at £3" 10s 6d," and the market then rose to £3 I2s 6d, at which figure further business was done. King Solomons were turned over at 4s 3d, and tberg was business in Nokoniaia at 4s apd 4s Id. ADELAIDE STEAMSHIP COMPANY Profit ami loss account of Adelaide Steamship Company for the year ended June 30 shows net results of £139,489, compared with £116,243 the previous vear. With £463 brought forward. £139,952 was available. Dividend of 6 per cent. (21 interim and 31 final), as against 5 the previous year, accounts for £139,508, and HU is carried forward.

WILTON COLLIERIES RECONSTRUCTION OF- COMPANY. (Special to Daily Times.) ’ AUCKLAND, September 14. The reconstruction of the Wilton Collieries, Ltd., as a new public company is now in progress. The shareholders in the old company have lost the whole of their capital, shown in last year s balance sheet at £93,926. The assets of the company passed recently into the hands of the .debenture holders. They have since been purchased by a syndicate, including previous large shareholders, It is stated that the business will be continued under the same name. . .The Wilton Collieries, Ltd., commenced operations in the Waikato coal trade in 1929, a loss of £1832 being shown for the year ended June 30, 1930, In the following two years further losses of £ll9O and £6589 , respectively were incurred. A profit of £3168 was shown for the year ended June 30, 1933, the debit balance in the profit and loss appropriation account being reduced to £6443. The last accounts show paid, capital at £93,326 and debentures £17,450. The liability to the bank was £13,663 and the deposits and sundry creditors £20,198. In the assets the minirig property was valued at £21,207, and other fixed and floating assets at £107>302. The preliminary expenses (£9686) and accumulated losses (£0443) were also shown.
