THE WEATHER
Variable but fine weather was experienced in Dunedin yesterday. The conditions were sunny for about two hours in the morning, but the sky was overcast throughout the afternoon., A ligut south-west breeze prevailed, and the thermometer registered 57 degrees at mid-day.
REPORTS FROM THE NORTH. (Special, to Daily Times.) AUCKLAND, September 14, A moderate westerly wind and line weather continued to-day, but the conditions were cloudy and threatening. The barometer fell to 29.90 in the early afternoon, but was steady during the evening. WELLINGTON, September 14. Fine and mild weather was experienced to-day. A fresh to strong northerly breeze blew throughout. The temperature at 4 p.m. was 52.4 degrees and the maximum for the day 55.3 degrees, CHRISTCHURCH, September 14. The weather to-day was sunny and pleasant with a light east-north-east breeze in the morning, changing to west-north-west in the afternoon. The maximum temperature \vas 64.4 degrees. The barometer, after falling, is now rising and registers 29.75.
