TAPANUI The antique, and curio exhibition in aid of the Tapanui District High School funds is an attraction which district and local residents should not miss during the remainder of the present week. The exhibition is extensive, in its variety, educative in character, and interesting throughout. , . Stalls, a tea garden, c shooting gallery and games provide diversion from relics of the past and curiosities of the present, so that mixed with the insistent call to the eye and intelligence of things long since disused, or mementoes of other climes, an air of carnival prevails. Mr M'Dougall, M.P., opened the function yesterday. To-night’s feature will be a mock court, and to-morrow the Gore Highland Pipe Band will usher in a real Scotch haggis, with all attendant ceremony. To-day and to-morrow afternoon will be devoted to entertain; ment of the school children of Tapanui and district,, special lecturettes being given by the Rev. B. Teague, of Cromwell, Mr J. S.
