PARLIAMENT
YESTERDAY'S PROCEEDINGS HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES (Pei United Puess Association.) WELLINGTON', September 12. The House of Representatives met at 2.30 p.m. Mr C. L. Carr (Timaru) gave notice.of his intention to introduce the Timaru Milk Bill. Mr D. M'Dougall (Mataura) was granted four days’ leave of absence on account of urgent public business. The Gaming Amendment Bill was received from the Legislative Council and read a first time. On the motion of the Prime Minister, Mr Forbes, urgency was accorded to the Financial Debate, which occupied practically the whole of the afternoon and evening sessions. (The report of the debate will be found under a separate caption.) The House was still sitting when the Telegraph Office closed at 2 a.m.
