MONTHLY MEETING The monthly meeting of the Otago Land Board was held yesterday, and was attended by Messrs N. C. Kensington (chairman), M. A. Kinney, D. McLennan, J, R. M'Oulloeh and G. Livingstone. TUSSOCK BURNING. Permission was granted to the following to burn tussock, scrub, etc.: — Messrs Murray, Roberts and Co., on behalf of Sir John Roberts, run 601; Miss C. E. Herbert, licensee of run 202 a, Tuapeka (1200 aches); Robert Jopp, runs 589, 621 and 620; A. P. Bell, runs 109 and 217 c, Waihemo S.D.; A. Mini mo, run 121 L, Waikouaiti S.D.; J. Sutherland, n;n 543, Bemnore; William C. and John A. Anderson, run 90a, Clutha County; R. J. Gray, run 672, Waitaki County; A. C. Nichols, part of runs 21Tb and 209 in the Otepopo and Waihemo districts; D. G. PERMISSION TO OCCUPY. S. A. Bush applied for permission to occupy allotment 6, block XVI, Dunedin and East Taieri S.D. (26.6 perches), at present held in the name of Winifred E. Williams.—Permission granted, from year to year at an annual rental of £l. A. Cameron and W. J. Kofoed applied for permission to occupy the area between section 6, block XV, town of Outran!, and the Taieri River, at present held in the names of D. M'Leaii and the said W. J. Kofoed. —Permission granted at an annual rental of £l. W. J. Mawhinney applied for permission to occupy sections 22 and 23, block XI, Naseby S.D., at present held in the names of J. S. and C. E. M’Laughlin applied for permission to occupy section 6, block LXIX, town of Oamaru; area 1 rood.—Resolution of March 14, 1934, granting right to A. N. Keith to occupy, rescinded; and year-to-year right to occupy granted to M. M’Laughlin at an annual rental of 10s as from September 12, 1934. Alexander Hyslop applied for the right to occupy sections 22, 23, 24 and 27, block XII, Waitahuna West S.D., and area fronting Clutha River, total area 17a 3r lip.—Granted at an annual rental of £3 10s. Davidson applied for a rehearing in connection with year-to-year license over part reserve opposite section 47 (three acres) and another area of eight acres adjoining section 47, block VIII, Dunedin and East Taieri, at present held in the name of C- Davidson. — Held over for further report. M. H. Spain and V. E. Spain applied for the use of the old water race in block XVIII, Leaning Rock S.D., being the part from the Nine Mile Creek to the opposite boundary of section 12 at present held by the Public Trustee as administrator of the estate of W. H. Spain, deceased.—Resolution of August 8, 1934, rescinded. REGISTRATION OF ASSIGNMENT. Run 202 a, Tuapeka, 1200 acres—James Andrew Smail! (in exercise of power of sale) to Constance Elizabeth Herbert.— Previous resolution rescinded and registration approved. “.THIRDS,” ETC. The Vincent County Council submitted proposals for the expenditure of “ Thirds,” etc, accrued for the period ended July 31, 1034, amounting to £69 6s 3d. —Proposals approved and receiver authorised to pay. The following were also approved:— Tuapeka County Council, £27 11s Bd. Clutha Comity Council, £4 4s 2d, Waitaki County Council, £7 2s Id. Alexandra Borough Council, 8s lid. EXPIRY OF EDUCATION RESERVE LEASE. The board was requested to appoint an appraiser to report as to the rental for the renewal term of the lease held by M, Verdop over section 11, block 1. town of Clyde, area lr 12p.—Field Inspector Macdonald appointed appraiser. RENEWAL OF SMALL GRAZING RUN LEASE. The decision of the lessees (Messrs C. Todd and others, as trustees) of run 1900 concerning the renewal of the lease thereof was submitted for the information of the board, area 1022 acres.— Lessees’ acceptance of renewal of least? received. PERMISSION TO EFFECT IMPROVEMENTS. The commissioner submitted for consideration the question of granting W. E. Wright permission to effect improvements on section 6, block VI, Glenomaru S.D., held under education reserve lease No. 1801.—Permission granted. DETERMINATION OF LICENSE. The commissioner submitted for consideration the question of determination of miscellaneous license held by A. B. Hall over sections 14 and 22, block IX, Maniototo S.D. (67 acres 1 rood 6 perches).—License determined as from July 14, 1935. TRANSFERS. Section 128, block 11, Ardgowan Settlement (18 acres 0 roods 34 perches).—J. W. Bradfield, executor of the will of Eliza Bradfield, to the said J. W. Bradfield.—Approved. Sections 16, 17, part 15, block IV, Hawksbury S.D.
