BRITISH SHIP ASHORE
MOTOR VESSEL*- WINTON CAPETOWN, July 31. (Received July 31, at 10 p.m.) The British: motor vessel Winton, of 4388 tons, which was loaded with 6000 tons of Australian wheat, went ashore on Saturday on Northern Beach, and is now threatened with complete loss, being embedded deeply in sand. The captain and crew have left the vessel owing to heavy seas breaking over her. Considerable quantities of the cargo have already been salved.
