TAIERI POULTRY SOCIETY
At the committee, meeting, of the Taieri Poultry Society, the secretary/ (Mr J. W. Craigie) presented a report on-the recent annual show. It was stated that on account of the very wintry: conditions which bad prevailed oh show day^and'which bad a,ffected the attendance considerably, it had' been feared that a large debit balance would be shown. This, however, was not the case, as'the expenditure had exceeded the receipt's by.only about £10; Members considered the position very gratifying in the circumstances. ■ The show from a breeders', and exhibitors' view was -voted to have been one of the most successful yet held. P.Walls) thanked committeemen and officials for the-work they had carried out, specially mentioning the labours of the secretary.
