A letter was received from the Undersecretary, Department, of Internal Affairs, confirming the telegram. announcing the department's decision to extend the open season for opossums in the society's district until August 15—Satisfaction was expressed by members' at .the department's action. .■ The Waitaki Society wrote asking if the Otago Society could supply quail.— It was decided, to offer up to 25 pair. . An agent at Ranfurly submitted a report on the native and.imported game in the district, which, he said, had survived the severe weather conditions very satisfactorily.—Received. ; _ .;.
