ATTACKS ON LONDON
AIR EXERCISES CONaUDED LONDON, July 27. (Received July 27, at 9 p.tn.). The air exercises ended.,with a stream of daylight attacks on London, but there was a -much, bigger percentage of defence successes, seven out of nine squadrons being intercepted, .while. 29 out of 40 were intercepted last night. An official report expressed the opinion that the casualties among -the ’raiders amounted to 33 per cent, one night,, but admitted that the vital tasks’ of war were not tested, as the:-enemy would choose misty nights.—-Times Cable.
