KUROW DISTRICT

The following will represent the Y.M.C.A. Rugby football team to play Kurow at Kurow to-day:—Johnson, Campbell, Burns (captain), Bell, Graham, Parsons, Dobson, Stenhouse, Harrison, aomas (2), Crawford, Herbert, Wild, uston, Packwood, and Tirapany. Prior to his departure on transfer to Waihao Downs School, Mr D. N. Taylor was tendered a farewell social by the pupils of the District High School. The rector (Mr Davidson) referred to Mr Taylor’s qualities as a teacher, and Miss Evelyn Huston, on behalf of the pupils of the school, presented him with a clock and a silver pencil'. In the evening the parents and the committee and staff met Mr Taylor, when the rector presented him with a cheque on behalf of’ those connected with the school.
