BETTING AND LOTTERIES BILL THIRD READING CARRIED. LONDON, June 19. In the House of Lords Lord Mottistone, on the third reading of the Betting and Lotteries Bill, said he thought it was amusing that the House was considering the alleged social menace of betting on greyhounds when most of the peers at that moment were ■watching horse racing at Ascot, where he wished he could be himself. The Bill was read a third time and passed.
