CRIMES AND SUICIDES
STATISTICS FOR BRITAIN THE HIGHEST ON RECORD. LONDON, June 19. A startling feature in the Home Office report on criminal statistics shows that nearly half the indictable offences in 1932 were committed by youths under 21 years of age, including a huge proportion of house and shopbreaking offences. Crimes numbered 208,175 —the highest this century. The suicides were 5657, also the highest on record.
