MECHANISED BATTERY
ROYAL HORSE ARTILLERY INSPECTED BY THE KING. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, June 18. (Received June 19, at 5,5 p.m.) The new mechanised battery of the Third Brigade of the Royal Horse Artillery was inspected by the King at Windsor Castle. The King was accompanied by the Queen, and the Princess Royal, the Earl of Hare wood, Princess Juliana, of Holland, and Princess Alice, and the Earl of Athlone were also present. The battery consisted of six guns drawn by tractors, three tvagons, two wireless cars, six light cars, with two motor cycle despatch riders. Three guns were drawn up in front of the King, who examined them and sat in one of the tractors.
