RUGBY LEAGUE
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE The weekly meeting of the Executive Committee of the Otago Rugby League was held last night, the president (Mr W. Holloway) in the chair. There were also present Messrs R. Maxwell, B. Eckhoff, F. Sim, E. Wilson, and C. Walsh. The secretary (reported having written to the town clerk, Dunedin, stating that the grounds on the Oval granted for the use of the League was being used by players in other codes, and asking if the League were not "entitled to the sole use of the ground. He added that no reply hud been received.—The president staved that he had spoken to the secretary of the Otago Rugby Union, who had assured him that at.no time had he given authority for anyone to use the League's ground at the Oval. —Mr Maxwell said that other codes had the same difficulty with grounds on the Oval. Anyone seemed to be at liberty to play on them, —ln view of Mr Maxwell’s statement 't was decided to carry the matter no further. DRAW FOR SATURDAY. The following is the draw for Satuday:—City v. Christian Brothers, at 8 p.m., at the Oval (Mr W. Watts) ; Athletic v. Pacific, at 1.30 p.m., at the Oval (Mr B. Eckhoff).
