OAMARU MARKETS Oats.—This market remains weak with pi'actically no demand. A's are inquired for at 2s 4dj f.0.b., s.i., for forward delivery, and B's at 2s Id. This is equal to Is 8d to Is 9d on trucks for A grade and Is 5d to Is 6d on trucks for B grade. Growers are not sellers at this price. At the moment there is no possibility of an export for oats. Wheat.—There is no alteration in this market, except that the prices for June delivery, ou account of the Wheat Board, have been increased by Id a bushel. There should he very little milling wheat to come forward after this month. Fowl wheat is on offer at Lyttelton at 3s ljd, sacks extra, f'.o.b.

Barley.—Most of the contract barley for the season has been cleaned up, and there are very few lines of free barley on offer.

Potatoes. —This market continues - to sag, although Auckland reports a slightly firmer market, but, in view of the better yields in North Canterbury, are not expected to advance to a great extent.

Seeds.—Business continues quiet and prices are unchanged, but for fine grasses the market is still advancing. However, these latter seeds no not concern the local market. Cocksfoot is in very short supply with high prices ruling. It will be late in the season before the bulk of the cowgrass can be shelled, in fact, in some parts the cowgrass crop has not yet been gathered in. It is difficult to estimate how the quality of the, seed will be. Stock.—Little business is , at present being done in the stock market, and private sales are falling off.
