Purdy won every game.;' ' - /' 1 SENSATIONAL ACCIDENT. ‘ MAN BURNED. TO DEATH. ■ ' SYDNEY, May 22. (Received May 22, at 11.50 p.m.) A sensational accident occurred at Sutherland to-day. A motor lorry on which there was a huge petrol tank struck an electric light pole and the vehicle overturned, the petrol bursting into flames. The driver, Ernest Yabsley, aged 23, was thrown clear and was not injured,, but he had to be dragged away from the burning lorry. The police later discovered the charred remains of Peter. M’Mahon, aged 22, beneath the wreckage. TRADE EMBARGOES. V MOVE FOR MODIFICATION. ' SYDNEY. May 22. (Received May 22, at 11.-50 p.m.) Dr G. H. Cunningham, of the New Zealand Agricultural Department, has arrived to discuss with the Comrn.mwealth and State health authorities all quarantine matters at issue between the two dominions, with a view to modifying the trade embargoes about which there has been much discussion during the past 18 months. NAYLOR INJUNCTION CASEJUDGMENT RESERVED. , SYDNEY. May 22. (Received May 22; at 11.35 p.m.) After argument occupying two days the Naylor injunction case was concluded to-day before Mr Justice K. Street, who reserved judgment. . The Australian Jockey Club to-d iy lodged an appeal to the Full Court against the decision of Mr Justice LougInnes on May 7, when Naylor was granted a continuation of his original injunction.
