NOVEL DIVORCE ACTION LOS ANGELES, May 13. Alleging that she. handicapped his literary efforts, Mr Charles Malamuth hns filed a divorce suit against Joan Malamuth, the daughter of the late Jack London, the famous author. Mr Malamuth, who is a playwright and a. former professor at the University of California, bases his complaint on grounds of mental cruelty and desertion. He accuses his wife of doing such things as playing " ribald jazz tunes " on the radio while he was Attempting to write " tragic scenes." and of playing sombre music like Bach's Fugues when he felt in a " gay mood" and needed light entertainment.
