LEAGUE FOOTBALL
MEETING OF EXECUTIVE. The weekly meeting of the executive of the Otagb Rugby Football League was held last night. The president (Mr W. Hollo-w-ay ) was in the chair, and there was a good attendance of delegates. The following draw was arranged:C. 8.0.8. v. Athletic, at 1.30 p.m.. at the Oval (Mr Eckhoff); Pacific v. City, at 3 p.m., at the Oval (Mr W. Watts). _ The executive expressed its appreciation of the improvement in the games last Saturday, and the opinion was expressed that when the new members became accustomed to the rules of the game even better play would be seen. The prospects of sending an Otago League team to the West Coast was discussed, and it was decided to defer the matter until later in the season. A report was handed to the meeting by the chairman concerning the state of the fame in Auckland, where, he said, an atendance of 17,000 had been recorded at a club fixture.
