ATTRACTIVE DISPLAYS OF GOODS "Made in New Zealand Week," which is at present being conducted in Duncdin, Las served to bring home to mauy people a realisation of the extent to which New Zealand is a manufacturing country. It has, for instance, been pointed out during the past few days tuat as many people are employed in the secondary industries of the Dominion as in the farming industry, and, in various ways, the value of manufacturing to Hie country has been impressed upon the public. The many special window displays have shown that New Zealand factories produce an extraordinary range of articles and that there are few of his requirements with which the person who demands New Zealandmade goods cannot be supplied. From the simplest household necessities to the most ornate art furniture is the range of the products which New Zealand tradesmen are making in huudreds of factories throughout the country; and in the displays that have been made proof is gi»'.m of the ability of the manufacturer to meet the demands that have been made upon him by suddenly changing tastes and fashions. That New Zealand industry has been enabled to expand to such an extent is proof of a realisation ; by the public that the goods produced in the Dominion are of a high quality. The striking displays which are now being presented should give to the purchaser a wider knowledge of the ability of the New Zesland aanufacturer to cater for his needs and of the progress that has been made in meeting a demand for attractiveness as well as durability and utility. ,
